2004-06-27 - The election is nigh:

Here in Canada, tomorrow (Monday the 28th of June) means election day! Which means that it is really, really, really important for everyone to vote, so we can make sure that Steven Harper, aka George W. Bush v. 2.0, does not get to be the Prime Minister.

Harper has all the same things against him that Bush does. For instance:

• he is frighteningly religious
• he things war in Iraq is a good idea
• he is against a woman's right to chose
• he is against same sex unions
• he is willing to consider the privatizaiton of health care
• he is both alarmingly arrogant, and none too bright

So, if your Canadian, get off your ass and vote. It's of paramount importance that you vote, period, but it is especially important that you vote in this election, so that we can show Harper and the Conservatives that we have learned from the US's mistakes.
